Arden Park

Located within minutes of downtown Sacramento, the quiet residential neighborhood of Arden Park is bounded to the east by Eastern Avenue, with Arden Way to the north, Watt Avenue to the west, and Fair Oaks Boulevard to the south.

Arden Park is an affluent neighborhood known for its large homes and tree-shaded streets. The neighborhood has its own town center, with businesses including a Whole Foods, Starbucks, and several local independent stores. Major shopping districts such as Loehmann's Plaza are just blocks away.

The sense of community spirit is strong in Arden Park. The Arden Park & Recreation District fosters a sense of neighborliness through regular community events, including outdoor movie nights and concerts. Many of these take place at the neighborhood’s namesake park, which is also a hub of sports leagues, fitness classes, and seasonal events including the popular Easter Eggstravaganza.

Arden Arcade is served by the well-regarded San Juan Unified School District. Mariemont Elementary and Arden Middle Schools are located within the neighborhood, with several preschools and private schools also situated within the vicinity.

Arden Park’s peaceful streets contain some of Sacramento’s most attractive properties. Until the early 2000s, it was the location of California’s closest equivalent to an official governor’s mansion. A gorgeous Lake Wilhaggin Drive property was the official home of every state governor between 1984 and 2004.

The entire Arden-Arcade area is known for its upscale properties, and Arden Park is one of the district’s most affluent areas. Homes here exhibit exquisite attention to detail, with an understated sense of elegance. With high ceilings and large guest suites, Arden Park’s homes offer an incredible sense of space for a neighborhood in such a central location.

Nearby Del Paso Country Club is one of the Sacramento area’s most prestigious institutions. First opened in 1916 on the historic site of Rancho Del Paso, facilities include a state-of-the-art fitness center and an 18-hole golf course, selected to host the 2015 U.S. Senior Open.

Other outdoor recreation spots within the surrounding area include Del Norte Club, Haggin Oaks, Rio Del Oro Racquet Club, and the American River Parkway.

Arden Park is conveniently located for accessing other neighborhoods within northern Sacramento, including the Milagro Centre in Carmichael, and an abundance of retail options along Fair Oaks Boulevard.

Other major local retail centers include Loehmann's Plaza, home to some of the regions’ best restaurants. Town & Country Village at Fulton and Marconi Avenue has provided the community with a preponderance of excellent retail and dining options since the 1940s, with current highlights including a Trader Joe’s. The Pavilions Shopping Center is also nearby, with businesses including a Ruth’s Chris Steakhouse, Julius Clothing, and Williams-Sonoma.
